More About Toni
Food is a big part of everybody’s life. When we celebrate we celebrate around food. When we mourn we mourn around food. When we meet to catch up with family and friends, we meet around food. Food is a social, emotional as well as necessary and often we favour the social and emotional connection with food rather than necessity which can lead to over eating, weight gain and sub-optimal health.
As a dietician I am trained to help you identify your problem areas and help you to understand what happens to your body when you eat and how to improve your health and general well-being through managing your diet. The media is filled with weight loss tips, advice, FAD diets and quick fixes to weight problems and it is becoming very difficult for the public to identify what is fact and what is fiction! Your dietitian can help you identify which information you can trust and which to ignore.
I am a registered dietitian who completed her Bachelor of Dietetics degree at the University of Pretoria. Passionate about healthy eating and lifestyle.
